CAMPING REGULATIONS

Entry to and stay at Camping Maremma Sans Souci imply full acceptance of these regulations and acknowledgement of the emergency and evacuation plan.

• Upon arrival, guests must report to Reception and present valid identity documents for all members of their party. Each guest will be given a wristband, which must be worn and shown throughout the entire stay. Guests staying on pitches will also receive an identification tag, which must be clearly displayed on the pitch and returned to Reception at the time of payment.

• Departures and arrivals are subject to the specified times. Campers must vacate their pitches and Mini Lodges by 11:00 a.m. and all other accommodation by 10:00 a.m. Payment can be made during the cashier opening hours displayed at Reception. Guests wishing to leave early must make payment the day before departure.

• If departure from the campsite takes place after the agreed time, an additional night’s stay will be charged, regardless of the time of arrival.

• Members of a party who leave before the end of the booked stay and depart after 11:00 a.m. will be required to pay for the full day.

• In the event of damage caused by a guest within the campsite (to the natural environment, the pitch or the occupied accommodation, including its furniture and equipment), compensation proportionate to the damage caused will be charged.

• The electrical and gas systems used by guests on pitches must comply with current regulations. The storage of spare gas cylinders, petrol cans and other flammable materials is prohibited.

• Failure to comply with these regulations may result in a warning or, in serious cases, removal from the campsite at the sole discretion of Management. Management also reserves the right to make amendments or additions to the provisions contained in these regulations.

• Each camper is responsible for safeguarding their own belongings and must hand any found items over to Management. Management accepts no responsibility for money or belongings belonging to guests.

Booking

• Bookings are personal, non-transferable and constitute a voluntary agreement between the parties. During high season (from 19/06 to 13/09), the minimum pitch rate is based on 2 people.

• The minimum bookable stay is one week, unless otherwise confirmed in writing by our booking office.

• Booking cancellations must be made by email. In the event of cancellation, the conditions established at the time of booking will apply in accordance with these regulations, and any refund of the deposit will be made from 31 December of the current year.

• Minors are not admitted unless accompanied by their parents for the entire duration of their stay.

• At the beginning and end of the season, depending on the number of guests present, some services may be reduced or unavailable.

• In the event of late arrival, the pitch and rented accommodation will be kept available until 1:00 p.m. on the day following the booked arrival date. After this time, the guest will be considered to have forfeited the booking, unless otherwise communicated by telephone or in writing.

For long stays, guests are kindly requested to check the registered number of occupants with Management by the end of the month. Failure to do so will result in all registered occupants being charged in full.

RENTAL ACCOMMODATION

• Fixed accommodation such as Cottages, Mobile Homes, Lodge Tents and Mini Lodge Tents is available from 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

• Cleaning of dishes, crockery and cookware is not included. Failure to leave these items clean will result in an additional charge of €50.00.

• Payment for all extra services (for example, beach services) must be made upon arrival at the campsite.

• Payments can be made in cash, by debit card or credit card.

• Cheques are not accepted.

• In rental accommodation, dogs are permitted in the Maison, Cottages, Safari-Big Country and Mini Lodges. No animals of any kind are permitted in the Country Lodges.

• Cats are permitted only in the Cottages.

• Early departure: In the event of departure before the scheduled end date of the stay, the guest is nevertheless required to pay for the entire period originally booked, with no entitlement to a refund for any unused days.

• Following an early departure, Management reserves the right to immediately make the accommodation or housing unit available again and/or re-let it for the remaining period. This shall not result in any reduction or refund of the amount payable by the guest for the original booking.

Pitches

• All pitches are marked out and numbered, with an indication of whether they are intended for tents, caravans or motorhomes. Tents may not be pitched on caravan pitches unless authorised by Management. Smaller caravans may not occupy pitches designated by Management as large or very large.

• Only one unit (caravan, motorhome or tent) is permitted on each pitch. Permission must be requested from Management for the addition of awnings, gazebos or additional tents. An additional charge will apply as indicated in the price list.

• Bookings are accepted with a flexible arrival day and a minimum stay of 7 nights. A booking guarantees only a pitch within the areas available at the time of arrival. If the actual stay is shorter than the period booked, the daily rate, including the pitch and the number of people, must nevertheless be paid for all booked days.

• A booking guarantees a pitch that will be selected upon arrival from those available; a specific pitch or adjacent pitches cannot be guaranteed. In any event, Management reserves the right, whenever deemed necessary, to determine where a tent, caravan or motorhome must be positioned.

• At the end of the stay, campers must leave their pitch in perfect condition after properly cleaning the occupied area.

• Electrical connections are permitted only with a CEE-compliant rubber cable, which must be laid on the ground without crossing the main roads. Extension leads and cables must be provided by guests and remain entirely their responsibility.

Visitors

• Visitors are not permitted unless authorised by Management. Authorised visitors must provide their identity document.

• Visitors are entitled to stay for two hours, after which the standard daily fee must be paid. Visitors may enter between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. and must leave the campsite no later than 10:00 p.m.

• Management reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse admission to unwanted campers or guests exceeding the permitted capacity.

Vehicle Circulation Hours

• Vehicles may circulate within the campsite only for loading and unloading luggage upon arrival and departure.

• The maximum permitted speed is 10 km/h. Pedestrians have right of way. The use of vehicle horns is prohibited.

• From midnight to 8:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., circulation within the campsite using any type of vehicle is prohibited. This prohibition also applies to buses and motorhomes, which may not return to their pitches during these hours.

• Motor vehicles may be used within the Camping Village only for loading and unloading operations. Motorcycles and mopeds may not be used to move around within the premises.

Management reserves the right to grant exceptions for specific circumstances.

Quiet Hours

• From 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and from 11:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., any noise that may disturb campers’ rest is strictly prohibited. During these hours, it is therefore prohibited to use radios or similar devices, gather in noisy groups or meetings, use the playground or circulate with motor vehicles. Devices such as TVs and radios must always be kept at a low volume and must be switched off during quiet hours. Anyone causing a disturbance will be removed from the campsite.

• Any noisy behaviour or conduct likely to disturb the peace is prohibited. Quiet must be respected 24 hours a day.

• After 8:00 p.m., tents, awnings or any other structures may no longer be set up on pitches.

Parking

• Upon arrival, a pass will be issued for each car. It must be displayed in the vehicle to facilitate checks at the campsite entrance. Vehicles must be parked in the designated, unattended parking area.

• The Camping Village accepts no responsibility for any damage caused by third parties to campers’ cars and/or motor vehicles. Parking in areas not designated by Management is strictly prohibited.

Dogs and Cats on the Campsite

• Dogs are permitted only on pitches and in Cottages, Safari Lodge Tents, Big Country and Mini Lodges.

• Cats are permitted only in Cottages, provided they are not allowed outside the rental accommodation, and on motorhome or caravan pitches, provided they are kept inside the owner’s motorhome or caravan.

• Owners are required to pick up their animals’ waste and ensure that their animals do not disturb other campsite guests. They must also ensure that their animal does not enter another guest’s pitch.

• Noisy dogs that growl or bark will not be allowed to remain on the campsite.

• Dogs may not be left alone on pitches or in accommodation and must always be kept on a lead.

• During high season, the Harbour Master’s Office strictly prohibits dogs from the public beach and does not allow them to swim in the sea. Dogs may stay only on the equipped beach, under the beach umbrella.

• Any damage caused by animals to third parties or campsite facilities is entirely the owner’s responsibility. Animals are not permitted inside sanitary facilities. It is strictly forbidden to shower dogs inside the sanitary facilities or under the beach showers. Dedicated dog showers are available at the Padulino facilities and in the Zona Nuova.

• Management reserves the right to remove without prior notice anyone who fails to comply with the campsite regulations concerning dogs and cats.

• Dog breeds and animals considered dangerous or identified as such by the competent authorities may, at Management’s discretion, be removed from the campsite.

Paid Equipped Beach

• Beach umbrellas and sun loungers are available for a fee during the hours displayed at the beach.

• They may be used exclusively during the specified hours and only upon advance payment for the requested service for the entire period.

• No refunds will be given for any reason, including changes of mind, bad weather, rough seas, etc.

• Booking the beach service requires payment upon arrival at the campsite for all booked days. If the day of arrival has also been booked and the guest arrives late, payment for that day will still be due, as the beach umbrella has been kept available for the booking.

• In the event of a change of mind, payment for the first 3 booked days is still required.

• Each beach umbrella may accommodate a maximum of 4 people, or 5 if the fifth person is a child.

• It is prohibited to occupy the area in front of or within the space reserved for the beach umbrellas of the equipped private beach with personal towels or personal equipment.

• Sun loungers or mattresses may not be moved from one beach umbrella to another. Anyone found by beach staff using equipment that is not included in their booking will be charged the daily rate for the equipment used without authorisation.

• From 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., quiet must be strictly observed. Noise that may disturb guests resting on the beach is prohibited. Any noisy behaviour or conduct that may disturb the peace of other guests is also prohibited.

• The use of soap and shampoo under the beach showers is prohibited.

• Children must be accompanied by their parents, as in all other areas of the Camping Village. Holes dug in the sand while playing must always be filled in afterwards.

• The use of beach rackets or other games, such as ball games, is permitted provided they do not disturb other guests.

• Use of the equipped beach is prohibited from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.

• Lighting fires on the beach is prohibited.

• Management reserves the right to remove anyone who violates these regulations.

Nature

• The vegetation within the campsite is considered part of its natural heritage. It is therefore strictly prohibited to damage, cut or uproot plants, dig holes to use as cool storage areas, or pour boiling liquids or waste liquids onto the ground. Stretching shade cloths over caravans and tents is prohibited and may result in an additional charge ranging from €50.00 to €500.00.

• The campsite accepts no responsibility for damage caused by falling trees, branches or pine cones, or for damage resulting from bad weather or hailstorms.

• Water is an important resource and a common good; we therefore ask guests to use it with the utmost care. Pouring dirty or soapy water onto the ground is strictly prohibited. Caravans and motorhomes must use the appropriate containers for wastewater disposal.

• Charcoal stoves/barbecues may only be used on the platform known as the “barbecue area”, which is available to guests.

• Fires are strictly prohibited in all areas of the campsite, beach and pine forest and may be subject to legal prosecution.

• All waste that cannot be separated, including organic material, must be placed in the appropriate containers located along the campsite’s central avenue. Containers for the separate collection of paper, glass, plastic and aluminium are available in the parking area.

Please remember that we are guests in a natural park, which serves as a winter habitat for wild animals.

Feeding animals is strictly prohibited. They are able to find food independently, and our behaviour, even when well-intentioned, may be harmful or even fatal to them.

Guests are advised not to leave rubbish lying around, as it may attract wild animals searching for food.

Environmental Guidelines

Camping Maremma Sans Souci is committed to protecting the environment and the resources provided by nature. These guidelines are intended to help guests enjoy the beauty of nature while ensuring a pleasant stay at the campsite.

There are numerous containers throughout the campsite for general waste (municipal solid waste includes all non-hazardous waste that cannot be separated).

Containers for separate waste collection are located at the entrance to the parking area. Guests are kindly requested to use only the designated containers located at the parking entrance for the separate collection of:

• paper and cardboard;

• glass, plastic and aluminium cans;

• organic waste.

A container for used batteries is also available opposite the restaurant.

Water: An Important Resource

Water is a common resource and, as such, should be used responsibly. During the summer, water use should be limited to what is strictly necessary, for example by keeping shower times to a minimum.

Responsible Use of Electricity

The summer sun provides natural light for many hours of the day. Guests are encouraged to make the most of this natural resource before using artificial lighting.

When using their own lighting equipment, guests are encouraged to use bulbs with a power rating below 60 W or energy-saving bulbs.

Please also remember to switch off veranda lights during the night.

Guests are also reminded to switch off lights in unoccupied areas of caravans, motorhomes or cottages.
